50+ Seedance 2.0 Prompts: Copy-Paste Examples

By SeedanceTips Team 16 min read

Writing prompts for Seedance 2.0 is closer to directing a film than typing keywords. The model responds to specific, filmable descriptions — subject, action, camera, lighting — rather than abstract concepts.

This library contains 50+ tested prompts across 10 categories, organized from simple to advanced. Every prompt is copy-paste ready. Adjust the @references, duration, and aspect ratio to fit your project.

The Seedance 2.0 Prompt Formula

Before diving into examples, learn the structure that consistently produces the best results:

Subject + Setting → Action → Camera Movement → Style/Lighting → Duration/Constraints

Image-to-Video variant:

Subject + Motion, Background + Motion, Camera + Motion

Key principles:

  • Describe a shot, not a story
  • One main action per clip
  • Specify camera movement explicitly
  • Keep it under 80 words
  • State what you want, never what you don’t want (no negative prompts)

5 Rules for Better Seedance 2.0 Prompts

  1. Describe a shot, not a story. Each prompt should read like a single camera setup. Use multi-shot syntax for narratives.

  2. One action per clip. A character can walk, OR talk, OR dance. Cramming multiple complex actions into one clip degrades all of them.

  3. Camera first. If camera movement matters, put it early in your prompt. The model prioritizes instructions in order.

  4. Reference > Description. A single reference image communicates more than 50 words of description. Always upload references when possible.

  5. Iterate one variable at a time. If the output isn’t right, change ONE thing — prompt wording, camera angle, or reference — and regenerate. Don’t rewrite everything.
